General Information
Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP), the first ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy in Orange County, California, seeks excellent candidates for a leadership position as the School's Assistant/Associate Dean of Professional Affairs and Student Success. This 12-month, calendar-year position is classified as a non-tenure track faculty position with administrative responsibilities. The administrative/faculty rank and department affiliation (Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacy Practice) will be open, based on the academic qualifications of the applicant.

CUSP offers PharmD and MS/PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs that address the challenges of tomorrow in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. Located in the beautiful Orange County, California, the School is rapidly growing in all areas of innovative teaching, practice, and basic and translational research, with excellent state-of-the-art facilities. Qualifications

1. PharmD, MS, PhD, or other relevant degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related disciplines.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Prior substantial experience in an academic or health industry setting related to educational and professional development, programming, and assessment, consistent with an appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Dean at CUSP.
4. Strong working knowledge of the best practices and ACPE accreditation standards for student progression and professionalism.
5. Academic qualifications for faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Responsibilities

Faculty Responsibilities:
1. Teach in the PharmD or MS/PhD graduate programs, depending on the area of expertise.
2. Mentor professional PharmD students.
3. Conduct scholarship in the area of expertise.

Administrative Responsibilities:

1. Promote student progression and academic success by collaborating with other administrative or professional staff and faculty.
2. Provide leadership in the development and operations of student organizations.
3. Provide professional guidance, career advising, and alumni support.
4. Oversee co-curricular initiatives.
